Meet Shatora Adrell. She is a Visionary, Celebrity Stylist and Fashion Disrupter.

She is the powerhouse that is responsible for some of the looks you see in the entertainment and fashion industry. She has most certainly made a name for herself by utilizing authenticity and spiritual insight to style Hollywood’s hottest acts.

I wanted to share her story here on FASH FWD:

On Her Faith in Fashion & Entertainment

In what ways do you let faith lead you when navigating through tough industries like the fashion and entertainment industry?

Shatora:

Faith is my anchor in an industry that can be loud, unpredictable, and sometimes superficial. When everything around me is moving fast, shifting trends, opinions, and expectations, I lean into stillness with God. That’s where I get clarity.

I don’t chase every opportunity. I pray over it. If it costs me my peace, my integrity, or who I am at my core, it’s not for me, no matter how big it looks. Faith helps me move with intention instead of pressure.

Faith also reminds me that my gift isn’t random. My eye, my creativity, my ability to tell stories through fashion, that’s purpose. So I show up with confidence, not arrogance, knowing I’m walking in something bigger than me.

At the end of the day, I’m not just building a career. I’m building something aligned. And faith is what keeps me grounded while I elevate.”

Do you practice grounding yourself and how has that shaped your creative abilities to style your clients??

Shatora:

“Yes, grounding myself is everything. Before I style, I take a moment to get centered, whether that’s prayer, stillness, or just quieting the noise.

When I’m grounded, I’m not creating from pressure or trends. I’m creating from clarity. It allows me to truly see my clients, their energy, their story, and style them in a way that feels authentic and intentional.

That’s where my best work comes from. Not chaos, but presence..”

A purposeful mission

Aesthetic transformations can be a game changer whether that’s physically, mentally and even spiritually. What is your overall mission when styling and how does that correlate with your beliefs?

Shatora:

“My mission when styling is transformation from the inside out. It’s not just about how someone looks, it’s about how they feel when they step into who they’re becoming.

I believe God gave me this gift to help people see themselves differently, with confidence, purpose, and power. So every look I create is intentional. It’s aligned, it tells a story, and it reflects who they truly are, not just what’s trending.

For me, styling isn’t just fashion. It’s purpose.”

You have styled some of our favorite acts in Hollywood and are now responsible for the upcoming artist, JayDon.

Can you give us the scoop on shaping JayDon’s aesthetic as he prepares to become one of the hottest R&B artists of our time? What’s the energy behind this transformation?

Shatora:

With JayDon, it’s all about intention and evolution. We’re building an aesthetic that sits between rockstar, modern dandy, and effortless street, something timeless but still a little dangerous.

The goal isn’t just to dress him, it’s to define how the world sees him before he even speaks. Every look is curated to match his sound, his energy, and where he’s going, not just where he is.

The energy behind it is confidence, growth, and stepping fully into his moment. This isn’t just styling, it’s storytelling in real time..”

Staying True

In the realm of designer labels, how do you offer your clients the same luxury experience and looks while staying true to who they are as an individual?

Shatora:

“Luxury isn’t about the label, it’s about the experience and the intention behind the look. I focus on tailoring, fit, and storytelling so everything feels elevated, whether it’s designer or not.

At the same time, I always start with who my client is. Their personality, their energy, their story. The goal is never to change them, it’s to amplify them.

That’s how you create something that feels both luxurious and authentic.”

Shatora’s Advice

What advice would you like to share with our readers or anyone who is looking to start styling in the Fashion and/or Entertainment Industry?

Shatora:

“Stay true to who you are, even when it feels like it’s not enough. This industry will test your confidence, your patience, and your purpose.

You’re not just here to dress people, you’re here to shift how they see themselves. Take that seriously. Protect your vision, stay grounded in your faith, and don’t move just because everyone else is moving.

What’s meant for you will find you, but only if you don’t lose yourself trying to get there.”
